Effective date: May 5, 2026
These terms govern your use of SongRave (“the platform,” “the service”), operated by SongRave (“we,” “us,” “our”). By accessing songrave.com or using any part of the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, that's fine, but please don't use the platform.
SongRave is a platform for live musicians and their audiences. Fans scan a performer's QR code, browse their setlist, and send tips, optionally with a song request attached. Artists see incoming requests and tips in real time, and receive payouts through Stripe. We are not a music streaming service, a ticket seller, or a booking platform.
We're currently in a private beta phase. During beta, features may change, break, or be removed without advance notice. We'll do our best to communicate changes, but the nature of a beta is that things are still being built.
You need to be at least 18 years old to create an artist account on SongRave. If you're between 13 and 17, you may use the fan-facing side of the platform (scanning QR codes, browsing setlists) but cannot send tips or create an account without a parent or guardian's consent. Anyone under 13 should not use the platform at all.
By signing up, you represent that the information you provide is accurate. One account per person or act. Don't create multiple accounts to game the system.
When you register as an artist, you'll connect a Stripe account so we can route tips to you. You're responsible for keeping your Stripe account in good standing and making sure your payout details are correct. We can't recover funds sent to the wrong bank account because you entered the wrong information.
You keep ownership of your name, likeness, setlists, and any content you upload. By posting content on SongRave, you grant us a limited license to display it on the platform. That's it. We won't use your content for advertising or sublicense it to third parties.
SongRave retains a 10% platform fee on each tip. The remaining 90% goes to the artist. Stripe's processing fees are covered by SongRave and are included in that 10%, so you don't pay anything extra on top. Payouts follow Stripe's standard schedule (typically two business days), with an option for instant payouts where available.
Tips are voluntary payments from fans to artists. Once a tip has been processed and paid out to an artist, it is generally non-refundable. If a fan disputes a charge with their bank, we'll work with the artist and Stripe to resolve it. Chargebacks may result in the disputed amount being deducted from future payouts.
A song request is just that: a request. Tipping with a song request attached does not guarantee the artist will play that song. Artists have full discretion over their setlist at all times.
Don't use SongRave to do anything illegal, harmful, or dishonest. That covers a lot of ground, but here are some specifics:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines, with or without prior warning depending on severity.
When you join our waitlist or create an account, you agree to receive emails from us. These fall into two categories: transactional emails (payout confirmations, account alerts, security notices) and marketing emails (product announcements, feature updates, the occasional newsletter). You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link at the bottom of every message. Transactional emails are tied to your use of the service and will continue as long as your account is active.
The SongRave name, logo, design, and underlying code are our property (or licensed to us). You can't copy, modify, or redistribute them. Your content remains yours. We claim no ownership over your music, your name, or your brand.
SongRave is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do our best to keep things running smoothly, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service, especially during the beta period. We're not responsible for lost tips due to technical failures, network outages, or issues with Stripe's systems.
We don't guarantee any specific level of income for artists. How much you earn depends on your audience, your performance, and factors entirely outside our control.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SongRave's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount of fees we've collected from your transactions in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
If something goes wrong, we'd rather talk it out than lawyer up. Contact us at support@songrave.com first, and we'll try to resolve things informally within 30 days. If that doesn't work, any remaining dispute will be resolved through binding arbitration administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in Travis County, Texas. You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis. Class actions and class arbitrations are not permitted under these terms.
You can delete your account at any time by contacting us. We'll process any pending payouts and remove your personal data within 30 days (subject to legal retention requirements for financial records).
We can suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, if we're required to by law, or if we discontinue the service entirely. If we shut down SongRave, we'll give you reasonable notice and process any outstanding payouts.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal proceedings not subject to arbitration will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make changes that materially affect your rights or obligations, we'll notify you by email at least 15 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of SongRave after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you disagree with a change, you can close your account before it takes effect.
